LITE-ON

Founded in 1975, Lite-On began its history by producing LED (Light- Emitting Diodes). In 1983, Lite-On had its IPO and was the first technology company to be listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange. The stock code "2301" is a true representation of the"No.1" pioneer leading the domestic IT Industry. Lite-On Technology, the parent company of Lite-On Group, was the first to produce LED in Taiwan. In the past 31 years since its inception, Lite-On has actively penetrating into the realms of computer, digital home products, consumer electronics, communication products, key components and sub-systems, in addition to optoelectronic components. In 2002, four public companies merged, including Lite-On Electronics, Lite-On Technology, Silitek and GVC, with the new entity became the new Lite-On Technology that we know today. The merger of four public companies was considered revolutionary in the history of the Taiwan equity market. Lite-On Technology has been successful with its "Profitable Growth" strategy, focusing on the improvement of profitability rather than merely pursuing revenue increase. Product portfolio strategy change contributed to majority of the success as Lite-On Technology switched its focus on higher-margin, high-growth products including Imaging, Power Supply, Enclosure and LED, where the core of Lite-On Technology lies.
