Dallas Semiconductor, which was founded in 1984 and went public in 1987, became a wholly owned subsidiary of Maxim in 2001. Both the Maxim and Dallas Semiconductor brands were used until 2007, when the Dallas Semiconductor brand was retired and the company applied the Maxim brand name to all products. Dallas Semiconductor was founded in 1984 as a designer and manufacturer of semiconductors and chip-based subsystems. The company quickly established its innovation and technical leadership in Wire, iButton,Communications Devices, Microcontrollers, Timekeeping and Thermal Management. Although the Dallas Semiconductor name no longer exists the need for the original parts made by Dallas still exists. We carry a large inventory of obsolete and aftermarket parts .
